Steve Ellis is the Chief Operating Officer at Paramount Advertising.

Steve oversees strategy and operations for the advertising business for CBS, CBS Sports, Paramount +, the Paramount cable networks, and Pluto.

In this role Steve has been responsible for overseeing the transformation and unification of the Paramount advertising team since the merger of CBS, CBS interactive, and Viacom.

Steve also oversees the development of Paramount Ad Manager, a new advertising platform and product that will provide SMBs direct access to Paramount’s ad supported streaming inventory.

Prior to Paramount, Steve was the Founder and CEO of WHOSAY, an early venture-backed influencer and social marketing company founded in 2009. WHOSAY was instrumental in establishing the marketplace for the creator economy among agencies and brands.

Paramount acquired WHOSAY in Jan 2018.

Before WHOSAY, Steve was founder and CEO of Pump Audio, a music licensing company that created a marketplace for independent artists and their music for placement in TV shows and advertising.

Pump Audio was acquired by Getty Images in June 2007.

Steve Ellis is originally from England but moved to the USA in 1988 to attend the Wharton School of Business, where he earned a BSC in Economics and Management.
